Dzięki swojej uniwersalności taśmę led można wykorzystać m. in. do podświetlania schodów. Każdą taśmę można przycinać co 5 cm, więc bez problemu można dopasować do szerokości schodów. Diody zamontowane są na elastycznej taśmie, dzięki temu można nadawać dowolne kształty. Montując pod stopniem pasek led (dzięki taśmie dwustronnej łatwy montaż) doświetlimy równomiernie na całej długości schodek. Pasek przycinamy na odpowiadającą nam długość a kolejny odcinek paska możemy podłączyć dwoma kablami. Łatwo jest to zrobić. Wystarczy przylutować dwa kabelki lub skorzystać ze złączek ułatwiających montaż.
Łączymy tak wszystkie kawałki taśmy i na końcu podłączamy zasilacz o odpowiedniej mocy. Mamy również możliwość wyboru barwy światła (białą zimną, neutralną lub białą ciepłą). Występują także taśmy RGB, w których dzięki sterownikowi można zmieniać kolor.
Taśmy led nie trzeba montować tylko w schodach. Można zamontować w poręczy.
Wtedy mamy podświetloną zarówno ścianę jak i schody. Światło świeci w dół co nie oślepia Nas gdy się zapali.

Taśmę LED można zamontować w profilu aluminiowym z przesłoną. Estetyczniej profil wygląda zlicowany ze stopniem. Gęste rozłożenie diod plus mleczna przesłona będzie równomiernie rozpraszać światło i stopnie będą ładnie podświetlone.

Do świetlenia schodów można również wykorzystać lampy montowane na ścianie przy schodach. Są dwa rodzaje montażu: puszka lub taśma dwustronna. Ona rodzaje montażu mają swoje plusy i minusy. Kształty oprawek jak i kolory są różne. Tak samo jak przy pasku ledowym również w tych oprawkach można wybrać kolor świecenia. Część lamp posiada czujnik ruchu dzięki czemu przechodząc obok niej lampa się włączy i zgaśnie po ustawionym czasie.
Pasek LED lub oprawki nie wyposażone fabrycznie w czujnik ruchu można podłączyć pod czujnik ruchu przystosowany do ledów. Dzięki takiemu rozwiązaniu nie musimy martwić włączaniem tego oświetlenia. Idąc w nocy nie musimy szukać włącznik tylko przechodząc oświetlenie się włączy automatycznie. Delikatne światło nie będzie razić po oczach i na pewno ułatwi przejście po schodach.

Taśmę LED montujemy na stopniach. Od Nas zależy czy na każdym czy na co drugim czy jeszcze rzadziej. Podłączamy wszystkie odcinki do zasilacza. Zasilacz do czujnika, a czujnik do 230V. Jaki zasilacz zastosować trzeba sobie odliczyć. Sprawdzamy jaką moc potrzebuje 1 metr paska mnożymy przez długość paska jaki wykorzystamy do podświetlenia schodów plus 10% i mamy moc zasilacza jaki potrzebujemy. Dzięki czujnikom na początku i końcu schodów pasek będzie się załączał gdy będziemy chcieli wejść na schody. A po określonym czasie wyłączy się. Dzięki takiemu rozwiązaniu na pewno zaoszczędzimy troszkę energii elektrycznej. Jest to również wygodne i ułatwiające życie.
Jeśli mamy zwierzę w domu warto zamontować taki czujnik wyżej tak aby nie załączał paska jak będzie przechodził zwierzak.
